(2008) METRO Product Supply Highlighted in Packaging Digest
in a May 2008 article in Packaging Digest, Metro Automation was highlighted as one of the significant suppliers of products and services to the GameStop corporation in creation of GameStop's newest packaging process. Metro supplies GameStop with plastic clamshell packaging on a "just-in-time" basis. The clamshells are used by GameStop in an automated process for packaging of used gaming systems for resale.

(2006) Semiconductor Group Americas Region Presentation
Metro Automation was presented with the Texas Instruments Regional Recognition Award in 2006 by Semiconductor Group Americas Region for excellence in the supply of industrial services and machinery. Texas Instruments uses Cost, Environmentally Responsive Procurement, Technology, Responsiveness, and Assurance of Supply Quality as criterion for determining recipients for its Supplier Excellence Awards.
(2006) METRO AUTOMATION Honored with With Texas Instruments Minority Business Award
In 2006, Metro Automation was honored by Texas Instruments by being awarded the company's prestigious Minority/Woman Business Development Blue Chip Supplier Award for outstanding service as a quality industrial supplier. Texas Instruments created its Supplier Excellence Awards in 1983 to recognize the most outstanding of its 18,000 global supply chain companies for their excellence and outstanding performance in service to the Dallas based technology company.
(2005) METRO Named 29th Largest Minority Firm
Each year, the Dallas Morning News publishes a listing of the top 200 DFW companies. On May 15, 2005 they identified Metro Automation as the 29th largest minority owned firm in the greater DFW metroplex (in 2004 it was the 33rd largest).
(2004) Metro Automation-Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies in DFW

(2004) Metro Automation Acquires Spectra Technologies

Metro Automation, Inc. & Spectra Technologies, Inc.
Metro Automation, headquartered in Irving, Texas, and Spectra Technologies, headquartered in Euless, Texas are proud to announce the unification of these two automation companies. Metro Automation, through a net asset purchase, has acquired all of the business operations and assets of Spectra Technologies.
The acquisition of Spectra Technologies by Metro Automation is one of several such transactions completed by Metro Automation. Previous acquisitions included the purchase of Cybex Technologies in Plano, Texas, and Advanced System Integration in Austin, Texas. Cybex Technologies was a design and build firm specializing in the semiconductor industry; and Advanced System Integration was an engineering firm specializing in custom automation equipment and controls.
Spectra Technologies brings additional engineering and solution capabilities to Metro Automation as a result of its extensive experience in providing concept, build, and integration of automation equipment and systems for the automotive, computer, electronics, medical, transportation and telecom industries.
The Spectra assets will be combined into Metro Automation's 68,200 square foot facility in Irving, Texas. Mr. John Crossno, CEO of Metro Automation stated “the combined capabilities of the companies present a significant opportunity for Metro and Spectra to fully leverage their skills and relationships as they continue their regional, national and global growth”.
Metro Automation has manufacturing facilities in Irving & Austin Texas, and service facilities in Nashville, Tennessee and Santa Clara, California.
