AutoFlex 2000™

AutoFlex 2000™ Robotic Cells are Metro Automation's answer to the industry's request for automated and flexible assembly solutions. The AutoFlex parts assembly system is based upon standardized pallet conveyor or rotary index systems. Although Metro Automation provides solutions for the pallet conveyor itself, including associated nests and parts handling, the core component of any assembly operation are the work cells that surround the indexing assembly line. Metro's AutoFlex product line focuses on individual cells for the production line. Each one of these stations must be configured for one or more individual tasks. These tasks vary greatly depending on the industry, application, and the specific product. The AutoFlex 2000™ individual assembly system is built upon the idea of re-utilizing and re-configuring the Flex Core in a multitude of assembly scenarios.

SpectraFlex™ Modular Process Platform
		SpectraFlex™ is based on a rugged, general purpose modular platform adaptable to a wide range of assembly, test and process control applications. The modular “universal” untooled platform is adaptable to meet your unique requirements as well as process specific cells that are already tooled for specific applications. Examples of these cells would include light assembly, vision inspection, press operations, soldering, liquid dispensing, labeling, laser marking, palletizing, test and quality control, and other specific applications.

Performance
The modularity of the mechanical and control systems coupled with the easily expandable architecture provided by Adept's SmartAxis™ linear modules allow the SpectraFlex system to deliver a wide range of performance work-cells on the same modular platform.

• Rugged 1 to 16 axis motion platform (2 axis Cartesian Adept SmartAxis 300mm X 500mm robot included in base price)
• High Accuracy: + 0.02 mm (0.0008") standard, + 0.01 mm (0.0004") optional
• High Speed: 1200 mm/sec horizontal, 600 mm/sec vertical (depends on tooling)
• Servo, pneumatic or vacuum gripper tooling available
• Vision guided pick and place operations as well as vision inspection operations (Adept SmartController only)
• Three control architectures utilizing the same IO system available (PLC, PC, or Adept SmartController)
• Network compliant (PC or Adept SmartController only)
• Standard rack-mount IO panels and integral wire ducting make system wiring, setup and maintenance a snap
• Plentiful IO: Up to 224 local IO (64 provided on base price), IO can be further expanded using PC or Adept control options

Input/Output
SpectraFlex incorporates a modular I/O panel that connects to the system enclosure and sensors using plug and play cabling. No more rewiring panels to interface a sensor or change an output's ESTOP operation mode.

• 32 local inputs consists of 24 local inputs on Eurofast connectors, 8 inputs on single connector for 8 position Eurofast multi port junction box
• Each input can be PNP or NPN (selectable for each input via a dip switch)
• 32 local outputs consists of 4 high power relay outputs (sink or source), 2 high power solid state relay AC outputs, 26 sinking 100ma outputs
• Standard connectors available for connection of up to two 8 station pneumatic manifolds using plug and play wiring
